Restaurant Aiguablava Begur - Costa Brava

The Hotel Aigua Blava Restaurant has gained recognition from the country's most demanding gastronomy guides and experts as one of Costa Brava’s best restaurants.

Our restaurant, open to the public, offers traditional Catalan cuisine with fresh, seasonal ingredients. The menu includes a great selection of wines including some local wines produced in the Empordà region. Guests at the restaurant experience all the flavours of the Mediterranean diet and have the chance to taste the typical gastronomic culture of Catalonia and the Costa Brava.

The restaurant boasts spectacular panoramic views of the Bay of Aigua Blava, allowing guests to enjoy the incredible scenery as they dine.

The Hotel Aigua Blava Restaurant offers to visitors and hotel guests three different spaces, the Restaurant, the Terrace and "La Rocalla", in the garden, where guests can enjoy a full breakfast, an apéritif, a light lunch under a parasol, a romantic dinner al fresco, a family meal, a business meeting or any other special occasion you would like to celebrate.


The Restaurant

The Restaurant offers its customers an elegant space with spectacular sea views through his arched windows, and a varied and quality menu.

The Terrace

The restaurant's terrace boasts spectacular panoramic views of the Bay of Aigua Blava, allowing guests to enjoy incredible scenery as they dine high quality traditional catalan cuisine.

La Rocalla

The Rocalla is located in the hotel grounds, along the pool, and is open in summer.

Culinary options

For lunch, visitors and hotel guests can choose between our Lunch Menu and the Seasonal Menu. At night guests can choose between the Dinner Menu, Seasonal Menu and the Daily Menu. Our Dessert Menu offers a wide variety of elaborations, among them the special desserts Crêpes Suzette and Bananas Flambée, prepared at the table. 

A great selection of Wines including some of the local wines produced in the Empordà region is also available.

From the end of April until mid-June we offer the Tasting Special Rockfish Menu, as the Aigua Blava Restaurant takes part in the Peix de Roca de Begur Gastronomic Campaign. During the first half of September Indians Menu is offered, during the Fira dels Indians which takes place in Begur at the beginning of September. The Rockfish Menu and the Indians Menu replace the Seasonal Menu during the campaign.

Our head chef, Lluís Ferrés, applies great creativity to the flavours and textures used in traditional Catalan cuisine to create something unique for the Hotel Aigua Blava´s restaurant. Using a combination of regional fresh produce from local suppliers with his expertise, his innovative have guests, both local and international coming back to enjoy his culinary delights year after year.  

Lluís has had an extensive career working in kitchens across Europe and in Spain. For almost twenty years he´s been the head chef at the Hotel Aigua Blava Restaurant.
